| Settings and local reminders | Your preferences and on-device notifications | Nobody: they stay on your device | Your device |
We don't collect your contacts, photos, precise location or payment details (your card and billing details stay with Google Play or the App Store), and we don't read or keep your voice.
2. Account and sign-in
- Guest play: you play as a guest. Our game backend, Microsoft Azure PlayFab, creates a random player ID linked to a device ID on phones, or to a browser ID saved in your browser on the web. Clearing your browser's data or uninstalling the app can disconnect you from a guest account.
- Poki and CrazyGames: if you're logged in to the portal, the game can use the portal's own account ID so your progress follows you there.
- Sign-in providers (when available): sign-in with Google, Apple, Google Play Games or Game Center is planned. When it is available and you use it, we receive an account ID from that provider and, if you allow it, your name and email address (with Sign in with Apple you can hide your email). We never receive your passwords.
- What the account stores: your nickname, your country (chosen from your device's region settings and shown as a flag), your stats, mission progress and stars (also saved on your device), achievements, leaderboard scores and a cloud save.
3. Online play
When you play Arena Online, co-op or join the lobby, our game servers process your IP address and in-game data (your position, actions, nickname, country flag, scores and private room codes) to connect you and run the match. The servers run on cloud virtual machines (Kubernetes / Agones); you can choose your server region, or the game picks the closest one by ping. We don't sell this data or use it for advertising.
4. Co-op voice chat
- The game uses your microphone only while you're in a co-op session, and only if you use voice chat (push to talk on phones). Your device asks for permission first, and you can refuse.
- Your voice is sent to your co-op friend, directly between your devices or through the co-op session. It is not recorded or stored by us.
- Be kind: your friend hears what you say, and we can't moderate a live conversation.
5. Analytics and stability
On the mobile apps and on the Poki / CrazyGames web versions we use Google Firebase:
- Firebase Analytics: app events such as missions played, matches and weapon usage, plus frame rate, device model, operating system, language and build.
- Crashlytics (phones only): crash reports with the state of the game when it crashed.
- Performance Monitoring: loading times and network performance.
- Remote Config: game settings fetched from Google, for example to switch features on or off or to list the online servers.
These services use an app-instance ID, and we set your PlayFab player ID as the analytics user ID so we can connect a crash or a problem to an account when you ask for help. On the web, Firebase may use browser storage or cookies for this. See Privacy and Security in Firebase.
6. Ads and your choices
Mobile apps (Google AdMob)
- The apps show banner, interstitial and rewarded ads from Google AdMob. AdMob collects your device's advertising ID (the Android advertising ID or, on iOS, the IDFA only if you allow tracking), device model and operating system, IP address and approximate location derived from it, and how you interact with ads.
- Consent: where the law requires it (the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and some US states), Google's consent form lets you choose whether ads may be personalized. You can change your choice from the game's settings.
- iPhone and iPad: the game asks for permission to track (App Tracking Transparency) before ads load. If you say no, ads are not personalized with your IDFA. You can change this in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings (Settings > Google > Ads, or Settings > Privacy > Ads).
- Rewarded ads are always your choice. See How Google uses data from apps.
Web (Poki and CrazyGames)
On Poki and CrazyGames, ads are served by the portal's own SDK under the portal's privacy policy, not by us: Poki Privacy Policy, CrazyGames Privacy Policy. Your ad and consent choices there are managed by the portal.
7. Bug reports
Only if you tap REPORT A BUG and send a message, we receive: the text you wrote, the game's recent log, the build / version, your operating system and device model, language, country, the server you were on and where in the game you were. It goes to the developer's private bug channel (a Discord webhook) and is used only to find and fix the problem. Please don't write personal information in the report.
8. Notifications
On phones the game can schedule local reminders on your device. They are created on the device itself; there is no push server and nothing is sent to us. You can turn them off in the game's Settings or in your device's notification settings.
9. Purchases
The mobile apps offer optional in-app purchases: GEMS packs, No Ads and a one-time Starter Pack. GEMS can also be earned by playing. There are no purchases in the web versions.
- Payments are handled by Google Play or the App Store under their own terms and privacy policies. We never see or store your card or billing details.
- What we receive: the store's purchase receipt (Google Play) or the transaction signed by Apple (App Store), with the product, price, currency and time. Our backend, Microsoft Azure PlayFab, sends it to Google or Apple to check that the purchase is real and hasn't been used before, then records what you bought on your game account.
- Restoring: "Restore purchases" in the shop asks Google Play or the App Store which one-time purchases (No Ads, the Starter Pack) your store account owns. GEMS are used up when spent and are not restored, as on every store.
- Refunds: they go through Google Play or the App Store. If a purchase is refunded, what it gave may be removed from your account.
10. What other players see
Your nickname, your country flag, your suit, your scores and ranks on the leaderboards and your in-match stats are visible to other players. Your player ID, device or browser ID and any sign-in account are not shown to them. In co-op, your friend hears you if you use voice chat. Choose a nickname that doesn't reveal personal information.
11. Why we may use it (EEA / UK legal bases)
- Contract (providing the game): your account, progress, online matches, co-op, leaderboards and achievements.
- Consent: personalized ads, App Tracking Transparency, microphone access and notifications. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Legitimate interest: analytics, crash reports and performance data to improve and fix the game, non-personalized ads, bug reports you send, and preventing cheating and abuse.
- Legal obligation: when the law requires us to keep or disclose data.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, to protect players or the game from fraud or abuse, or as part of a sale or transfer of the game (you would be told first).
12. How long we keep it
- Account data (nickname, country, stats, progress, achievements, leaderboard scores, cloud save): while your account exists, and deleted when you ask us to delete it.
- Analytics, performance and crash data: according to Google Firebase's retention settings.
- Bug reports: only as long as needed to investigate and fix the problem.
- Purchase records (the receipt or signed transaction and what it gave you): while your account exists, so a purchase can't be claimed twice and can be restored; deleted with your account. Google Play and the App Store keep their own records of your payments under their terms.
- Voice chat: never stored.
- On your device: settings, local progress and reminders stay until you uninstall the app or clear the browser's data.
13. Deleting your account
You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time from the account deletion page. We delete your account, nickname, country, stats, progress, achievements, leaderboard entries and cloud save within 30 days, and ask Google to delete the analytics data linked to your player ID. Uninstalling the game alone does not delete your online account. Deleting your account also deletes the GEMS and items on it, including bought ones; one-time purchases (No Ads) can still be restored from your Google Play or App Store account.
14. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EEA / UK or the CCPA / CPRA in California) you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- correct it, or delete it;
- object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time (this doesn't affect what was done before);
- receive it in a portable format;
- opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal data for targeted advertising (turn off personalized ads as described in section 6);
- not be treated differently for using these rights;
- complain to your data protection authority.
We answer requests within 30 days and may ask you to confirm the account is yours.
15. Children
Nightseek Arena is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country, up to 16 in parts of the EEA). We don't knowingly collect personal data from them, and if we learn that a child has given us personal data, we delete it.
16. Security and international transfers
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS / TLS) where the service supports it and stored with providers that use industry-standard security. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit access to the people and services that need it.
Our providers (Microsoft, Google, Discord, our cloud server hosts and the web portals) may process data in the United States and other countries. When data leaves the EEA or UK, it is protected by safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Each provider handles data under its own terms: Microsoft Privacy Statement, Google Privacy Policy, Discord Privacy Policy, Apple Privacy Policy.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We'll change the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the game.
